學習目標
Program Goals: This course is designed for students who seek to achieve a high level and cross-cultural competence by developing effective German communication and analytical skills. The program adopts a holistic language approach by cultivating linguistic methods for language and culture.
At the end of the course: 1. Students will reach the B1.2 level in German according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). 2. Students will develop intercultural competence. 3. Students will acquire advanced communication skills, including translation and summarization. 4. The ability to work in teams, demonstrating initiative, time management, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence. 5. The ability to creatively respond to intellectual questions. 6. An international perspective influenced by a range of cultural backgrounds. 7. An understanding of the relevance and contribution of the humanities to contemporary society and cultural practice, including the ability to articulate connections between past and present and the influence of the past on shaping community and social structures and beliefs.
Upon completion of the course, students will have reached the B1.2 level in German. This means: 1. Students will be able to understand the content of most recordings or radio programs that interest them, provided people speak clearly in standard language. 2. Students will be able to understand clear and well-structured classroom lectures and presentations, provided they already have some knowledge of the subject. 3. Students will be able to understand the main points in a relatively long conversation they are listening to, for example, on a train, in a restaurant, or at a swimming pool. 4. Students will be able to fully understand detailed instructions, such as how to participate in a radio contest. 5. Students will be able to understand television documentaries, interviews, talk shows, plays, and most films, provided they use standard language rather than dialect. 6. Students will be able to follow radio programs on most topics if standard language is used, and they can also discern the speaker's mood or tone. 7. Students can actively participate in discussions in familiar settings, explaining and supporting their views. 8. Students will be able to give clear, detailed descriptions on a wide range of topics related to their areas of interest. 9. Students will be able to explain a viewpoint on a current issue, giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options. 10. Students will be able to write clear, detailed texts on a wide range of topics related to their interests. 11. Students will be able to write an essay or report that conveys information or gives reasons for or against a particular viewpoint. 12. Students will be able to write letters that highlight the personal significance of events and experiences.
In addition, students will acquire other linguistic and non-linguistic skills: 1. Advanced communication skills, including translation and summarization. 2. Advanced writing and oral expression skills. 3. Advanced intercultural competence and understanding of cultural differences. 4. A deepened understanding of literary genres. 5. A high level of critical thinking and interpretive ability. Demonstrating awareness of the ways in which meaning is created and interpreted. 6. The ability to work in teams, demonstrating initiative, time management, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence. 7. An international perspective influenced by a range of cultural backgrounds.

In order to be able to take German III courses, for example: [German III Part A], students must first complete German I [German I Parts A and B] and German II [German II Parts A and B]. This is a mandatory requirement.
