This Specialization Program is designed to enhance students’ Russian language proficiency to an upper-intermediate level, enabling them to acquire extensive and specialized professional knowledge in the fields of Russian language, literature, and society. The course aims to enable students to communicate effectively and engage in situational conversations in Russian, and to develop text analysis skills in Russian literature at an intermediate level. The Russian language courses adopt an integrated language approach to cultivate students' balanced proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Specialized courses such as Russian literature enable students to attain cross-cultural understanding and communication skills through text reading and analysis. By the end of the Program, students will be able to achieve: 1. The First Certification Level of the TORFL-1 (ТРКИ-1), corresponding to the B1 level of the CEFR. 2. The ability to understand cross-cultural issues. 3. Advanced communication skills, including translation and summarization. 4. The ability to analyze a variety of texts, such as literary works, critical essays, poetry, art exhibitions materials, and product descriptions. 5. The ability to creatively respond to intellectual questions.
