學習目標
Learning Goals 1. Be able to have a general basic understanding of contemporary Western literary and cultural theories and contemporary continental philosophy. 2. Be able to use theory and philosophy to analyze and interpret specific topics. 3. Be able to delve into the discourses of important theoretical schools and thinkers and provide theoretical explications. 4. Be able to integrate theoretical and philosophical discourses to independently write theoretical papers or projects.

Course Selection Guidelines <br><br>Axis: The Ability to research and discourse on contemporary humanities theories<br>Total required credits (13): 1 Basic Course (3 credits), 2 Specialized Theories and Applications Courses (6 credits ), 1 Advanced Comprehensive Course (3 credits), and 1 Capstone Course (1 credit) <br><br>Level 1 Basic Courses: Choose 1 (3 credits) <br>Guidelines: This level contains critical or theoretical foundation courses in various disciplines. Students can choose one course based on their majors or interests to lay the basis for subsequent courses. <br><br>Level 2-1 Specialized Theories and Applications Courses: Choose 2 (1 from each category) (6 credits) <br>Guidelines: This level contains two categories of courses: Specialized Theories and Cultural Applications. Students are required to choose one course from each category to establish a knowledge framework that balances theory and application. <br><br>Level 2-2 Advanced Comprehensive Courses: Choose 1 (3 credits) <br>Guidelines: This level contains advanced comprehensive courses on contemporary Western theory and continental philosophy, aiming for students to acquire more comprehensive or in-depth theoretical and philosophical concepts and discourses. Students can choose one course based on their interests. <br><br>Level 3 Capstone Course: Required (1 credit) <br>Note: The capstone course aims for students to integrate their learnings from the Basic Courses, Specialized Theories and Applications Courses, and Advanced Comprehensive Courses to conduct theoretical writing projects. Students' ability to put theory into practice will be strengthened.
