1. Students are advised to take courses sequentially by Level. This specialization focuses on foundational training, design methods, and practical applications in scenic design, cultivating students’ visual, spatial, and design thinking skills. <br><br>3. Level 1: Foundation Courses. “Basic Design” develops fundamental skills in visual composition, form, and space, while “Stage Craft (I)” introduces the fundamentals of theatre spaces and stage technology. <br><br>4. Level 2: Introductory Courses. “Stage Design (I)” introduces fundamental methods and creative processes in scenic design. “Drafting and Model Making” (covering “Introduction to Drafting” and “Model Making”) and “Scene Painting (I)” develop students’ observational skills and ability to work with different media. <br><br>5. Level 3: Advanced Courses. “Stage Design (II)” deepens students’ understanding of design concepts and spatial integration, while “Production Design 101” broadens their interdisciplinary perspectives on spatial and visual design. <br><br>6. Level 4: Advanced Practice. “Special Topics on Stage Design” and “Special Topics in Theatrical Design” focus on the integration and application of multi-scene design skills, guiding students to approach a production from a director’s perspective and develop a deeper understanding of text and dramatic context.
