Wireless communication is an essential enabling technology for modern life. Its signals are transmitted through electromagnetic waves, with transmission ranges both near and far, and are not restricted by terrain, topography, or obstructions. Microwave technology is the key to developing wireless communication systems. Furthermore, as Taiwan plays a major role in the global wireless communication product supply chain, the industry has a strong demand for related talent. Cultivating students with expertise in the microwave communication field will not only benefit the students’ future employment and development but also lay a solid foundation for the domestic industry to proactively deploy and develop new-generation wireless communication technologies. Through studying the curriculum module planned for the microwave communication specialized field, students will acquire the basic capabilities in electromagnetic field analysis and the planning and design of microwave communication systems.
